The Township of Joly is seeking an independent contractor as a Hearing Officer under our newly created Administrative Monetary Penalties By-law.

The Township of Joly is seeking an independent contractor as a Hearing Officer under our newly created Administrative Monetary Penalties By-law. The Hearing Officer will be responsible for conducting fair and impartial hearings for cases brought forward under this by-law. Who Can Apply:
A Hearing Officer cannot be a Member of Council or a Municipal Employee. Eligible candidates will have demonstrated knowledge and experience in administrative law, such as:

• Lawyers or retired lawyers
• Paralegals or retired paralegals
• Retired police officers
• Retired municipal clerks or deputy clerks

Ideal Candidate:

• Proven experience in administrative law or adjudication
• Ability to conduct hearings efficiently and impartially
• Strong communication, organization, and decision-writing skills
• Committed to fairness, transparency, and professionalism
